NYC-based filmmaker and musician, Emory Parker, released a new music video this past Sunday. “Pride” is a project inspired by the shooting in Orlando. As a member of the LGBTQ community, Emory felt compelled to respond to this tragedy artistically. She decided on a soulful power ballad to transform the heartache into something positive.
The video follows three different LGBTQ characters on the day before the NYC Pride Parade. Each character undergoes a trying personal struggle and is faced with the decision to either crumble or persevere.
With this video, Emory hopes to inspire those who are suffering to conquer hate by joining together. In a world filled with so much sorrow and terror, Emory encourages us to support, respect, and love one another.
